Charleston, South Carolina
/Charleston has a charming energy about it. It feels similar to New Orleans only a bit smaller and more of a coastal vibe. I stayed at the Loutrel Hotel and it surpassed all expectations. The moment you walk in your senses start awakening. The soft color palette of blues and neutrals mixed with an aroma of citrus and floral instantly create an inviting environment. The staff were friendly, the bedrooms comfortable, and the European style breakfast in the morning was luxurious.
The city itself is great for taking family portraits or a fun, interactive, engagement session. There are little pockets of color and interesting architecture all over the town. My top 3 places to photograph in Charleston were The Mills House on Queen street, Hibernian Hall, and Church street. Between the soft pink buildings, black and white checkered floor, and cobble stones you can’t go wrong!
